AGB Nielsen Arianna Survey Shows TV5 Overtaking ABS-CBN on Weekend Ratings


TV5 gives viewers more reason to tune in as the Kapatid Network shares its joy and gratitude for the recent success of its weekend primetime shows in the ratings game.

For three straight weeks, data based on AGB-Nielsen Arianna, Mega Manila Individual Ratings show that TV5 has been winning over competition in the battle over weekend primetime ratings according to a report by the corporate communications department of TV5.

Last Saturday, October 2, the AGB Nielsen Arianna Megatam (Individuals) overnight ratings indicated that for all of primetime (6 pm-2 am), TV5 overtook ABS-CBN to become the 2nd most watched network. Based on the said reprt, TV5 had an audience share of 26.9% beating ABS-CBN's 19.9% and following GMA-7's 35%.

More notably, TV5's weekend triumvirate Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, Talentadong Pinoy and Midnight DJ was number 1 in the 6 pm-10 pm timeblock with a total of 30.6% audience share compared to GMA-7's 29.7% and ABS-CBN's 24.5%.

Moreover, owing to the remarkable performances of its weekend triumvirate WW2BAM, TP and Midnight DJ on the same day, TV5 landed in the No. 1 position in terms of household viewership with a total of 30.6% household shares, compared to network leader GMA-7's 29.7% and ABS-CBN's 24.5%.
