We haven't faced any real adversity all playoffs or year for that matter. We never lost anyone important to injury, we never lost more than 2 games in a row, and we didn't have any infighting whatsoever all year. So its hard to predict what to expect from our Bulls tonight. We could fold like a lawn chair or decide its time to fight back.
I know I haven't watched every second of every game of an Eastern Conference Finals since a certain number 23 was around. But when did these conference finals become a fucking pillow fight? Its a joke, no one on either team is fighting hard, no one is fouling hard and no one even has a techinical in this series. Its an embarrasment and I'm sure players like Charles Oakley, Dennis Rodman, Anthony Mason, Dale Davis, Bill Laimbeer, and Xavier McDaniels feel the same way.
And I get that the refereeing has changed in the last 15 years, but a hard foul on a guy like Lebron or Wade can get them out of their game for a period of time. That same hard foul on Bosh can take him out of his game for the rest of the series. So the question is who will step up and show everyone we aren't just happy to be here. Who will stand up to these guys and let them know we aren't soft. My money is on Taj Gibson, as he seems to be the only one attacking people on both defense and offense. I would have said Kurt Thomas, but Big Sexy just isn't getting the playing time. The rest of our team looks like they wanna be friends with the Heat, and that makes me physically ill. I literally puked after that Game 3 effort.
But knocking one of the Big 3 on their ass, isn't the only thing that needs to change. Derrick Rose has to be the best player on the court tonight. He has to stop passing out of the double team, especially when Noah isn't in the game and at the high post. He needs to attack said double team and get to the rim. Honestly, if Rose doesn't get to the free trow line at least 12-15 times we aren't gonna win. And I don't care if he takes 20 shots or 40 shots, he has to be better than he has been in this series thus far.
Also, we need Joakim Noah to become the asshole that he was two years ago in the Boston series and last year in the Cleveland series. He needs to come out and say something like 'I called that heckler a fag because every guy in this city looks and acts like a gay'. Or 'I can't buy a pack of cigaretters on Ocean Avenue without running into 10 guys that fucked Gloria James'. Either of these comments should do the trick. And then during the game he needs to make the blow job gesture to the crowd after he gets his 16th rebound.
Stern will fine him again, but secretly he will love the drama and the ratings it would inspire. The league knows this series is a better draw than the NBA Finals will be. Thats why I'm pretty confident that the Bulls will get most of the calls tonight.
Bulls by 8. This one is going 7 games, I know this like I know Kate Upton will have a titty shot coming out tomorrow, just to show Lohan who is boss.
