Don't look now... White Sox only 3.5 games back

I can't belive I'm writing this, but baseball is back on the radar in Chicago.

Cleveland has struggled as everyone figured they would and the Sox have taken advantage winning 8 of their last 12. Now, Vegas is starting to take notice. Vegas casinos had the White Sox at 30-1 to win the AL two weeks ago, now those futures odds are down to 20 to 1. And the one hard rule about gambling is: Vegas knows more than anyone.

Sundays 5-4 came with another shaky Segio Santos outing, but a questionable out at first ended the game. Replays showed Crisp may have been safe on the play. The bullpen needs to get settled for this team to really be taken seriously as an AL pennant contender. The rotation, on the other hand, will be rock solid, with or without Jake Peavy.

The Sox are also finally getting some production from Adam Dunn. He now has two homers and six RBI in the last four days as he tries to shake off a horrible start. As Dunn grows accustomed to the American League, we expect many more days like this. And with Cleveland back to being Cleveland, the AL Central is now a two team race between Chicago and Detroit. I like the Sox chances.
