Kapamilya Station Releases "ABS-CBN Lupang Hinirang 2011" Music Video

In time for the 113th celebration of Independence Day of the Philippines, ABS-CBN and its film production arm, Star Cinema, joined forces to release a star-studded music video of the Philippine National Anthem.

According to StarAd Prom, they chose to update its old music video, which was produced five years ago. They started shooting new footage for the music video last February.

The new version is already being aired on ABS-CBN and will be screened in cinemas prior to movie screenings.

It begins with a majestic view of the Banaue Rice Terraces and a native Igorot wearing a bahag while playing a flute.

Piolo Pascual is then seen carrying the Philippine flag while leading a group of runners also bearing the national symbol.

The scene then shifts to a beach where Jericho Rosales is running along the shoreline, also carrying a Philippine flag.

A colorful scene from Pahiyas is then shown, with Maja Salvador, Shaina Magdayao, Empress and Andi Eigenmann admiring a Philippine flag that passes by.

Diether Ocampo and Rafael Rosell are seen running with the flag while Mayon Volcano is flashed in the background.

Rayver Cruz and Matteo Guidicelli are also seen carrying flags with the Chocolate Hills shown in the background while Luis Manzano carries the flag across a historical looking building.

Miss Charo Santos-Concio, wearing a white terno, introduces the "pambansang awit ng Pilipinas."

An aerial shot of a church is seen before the camera zooms in to show Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo, who sings the "Lupang Hinirang" along with other people standing around her.

Bea Alonzo and Angel Locsin, who are both in Filipiniana, are shown in the same frame. Gary Valenciano joins several kids in standing in breakwater structure while singing.

Showtime hosts Kim Atienza, Vhong Navarro, Anne Curtis and Vice Ganda are shown in the same frame while Sarah Geronimo and Derek Ramsey are also seen together.

Happy Yipee Yehey! hosts Randy Santiago, John Estrada, Toni Gonzaga, Mariel Rodriguez, Pokwang and Bianca Manalo shot their scenes in Fort Santiago. ABS-CBN news anchors - namely Pinky Webb, Anthony Taberna, Korina Sanchez, Ces Drilon, Noli de Castro, Karen Davila, Ted Failon, Bernadette Sembrano, Julius Babao and Alex Santos - had their scenes shot in front of the National Museum.

KC Concepcion was wearing a red patadyong while Sam Milby was in a red camisa de chino as they sang the national anthem in front of a historical monument.

Colorful fiesta paraphernalia were in the background as Jake Cuenca, Cristine Reyes, Maricar Reyes and Coco Martin were shown.

A sun made of colorful yellow flowers served as the background for Billy Crawford, Erik Santos, Karylle, Zsa Zsa Padilla Nikki Gil and Yeng Constantino.

Ai-Ai delas Alas wore a colorful native costume while dancers from the Sinulog festival stood and sang the national anthem along with her.

The San Francisco Bridge served as the background of young stars Gerald Anderson, Kim Chiu, Erich Gonzales and Enchong Dee while Zanjoe Marudo and Angelica Panganiban were shown with the Burj Al Arab shown in the distance.

John Lloyd Cruz, who wore a blue Barong Tagalo, is shown also holding a flag while Kris Aquino, wearing a yellow terno, is the last celebrity to be shown.
