It's certainly not your average shopping outfit.

Then again, Beverly Hills is hardly your average shopping destination.

Nikki Hilton dressed up in a fur vest and showed off a red Chanel handbag as she visited the stores in the upmarket Los Angeles district yesterday.

With her designer jeans, sky high boot heels and sunglasses, the heiress looked more like she was going clubbing than visiting the shops.

Meanwhile Nikki's big sister Paris and her boyfriend Cy Waits brushed off their legal troubles as they flew out of Los Angeles for a holiday in Brazil.

Waits is facing criminal charges and a possible four-year prison sentence after the pair were arrested last year for drug possession.

The couple were stopped while driving on the Las Vegas strip after a police officer smelled marijuana smoke coming from their SUV.

Marijuana was found in the vehicle as well as cocaine in the heiress' handbag, and Waits failed sobriety tests at the scene on August 27.

Paris, 29, is currently serving a year's probation and 200 hours of community service after pleading guilty to drug possession and obstructing a police officer. She also paid a $2000 fine.

But the couple looked happy and relaxed as they carried their luggage through LAX today.

Paris tweeted: 'Packing and getting ready for my flight to Brazil today. I love Brazil!'
