For new manager Mike Quade, picking the opening day starter for his team has to be a lot like picking football teams at recess in grade school. Your choices are the ginger (Demspter), the fat kid (Zambrano) and the new guy (Garza). Now most days you pick the fat kid cause he is a class clown and he has been your friend the longest. He wont win the game for you, but he will entertain you. The new kid is an intriguing choice because he has the most upside. You know what your getting from the ginger and the fat kid, but this new kid could be a wild card, the kind that dove for the ball even though we played on a parking lot. On the other hand he could turn out to be a gay, and picking a gay for your team can give you a bad reputation that sticks thru all of high school. So by default the ginger is the pick if you are looking for a W. But only because you dont want to lose because fatty cant cover anybody and you certainly don't want to be labeled gay friendly in 6th grade.
