Game 2 was more of the same. The Pacers continue to play their best basketball of the season in this playoff series, the Bulls play catch up for most of the game, D Rose takes over in the 2nd half and Kyle Korver hits a clutch 3 late in the game.
Our defense looked a little better this game, and most of that credit should go to Luol Deng for keeping Danny Granger in check. Granger is the typical NBA star, who needs to shoot 20-25 times a game to get 20 plus points. He isn't a winner, he can't carry a team and certainly can't be counted on late in games. In fact, the Pacers ran 3 plays after timeouts late in the game and none were drawn up for their "star".
Meanwhile, our soon to be MVP, scored 23 of his 36 pts in the second half. No matter who they put on him, Rose continued to find ways to score. That step back move he used last night just shows this kid is improving not just season to season but from week to week.
