In addition to domestic abuse battery, Cage, 47, was booked with disturbing the peace and public drunkenness, the NOPD said in a statement.
Police said that Cage allegedly was arguing with his wife, Alice, around 11:30 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of Dumaine Street. They were standing in front of a house that Cage "insisted'' that the couple was renting, according to NOPD. When she disagreed, Cage apparently grabbed her by her upper arm and pulled her to what he believed was the correct address, police said. Police said there were no visible signs of injury on her arm.
Cage allegedly began to strike vehicles and later attempted to get into a taxi, police said. At that point, an officer, who had been waved down by a passer-by, "immediately observed that Cage was heavily intoxicated and ordered him out of the cab, which prompted Cage to start yelling,'' the news release said.
Cage was booked and taken to central lock-up.
He apparently has been released on $11,000 bond.

Nic stop beating your wife, start paying your taxes and for God's sakes remember which mansion is yours. I just pray this doesn't affect the filming schedule of National Treasure II. Can't we just blame it on Katrina and move on.
