Lauren Goodger takes Essex glamour to London as Mark Wright has boys' night out with Jack Tweed

Essex glam: Lauren Goodger hits London with a friend in a tiny leopard print dress, patent heels and of course a whole lot of fake tan

Desperately trying to shed her love-sick image from The Only Way Is Essex, a newly brunette Lauren Goodger hit the town as a smiling single lady last night.

But as she was showing off her fake tan in a leopard-print Lipsy mini dress, her on/off boyfriend Mark Wright was getting up to no good with best mate Jack Tweed.

As Lauren, 25, decided to leave Essex for a night in central London’s Mahiki, Mark and Jack had a boys night out at the Alto nightclub.

Lauren might have ventured out of her home county for a night, but she made sure to take Essex glamour to London in nude patent heels and immaculate Farrah Fawcett curls alongside a friend in an equally as tiny dress.

Meanwhile, across town her playboy ex-boyfriend stepped out of the Mayfair Hotel with bad boy Tweed in matching jeans and white T-shirts.

While on his night out, 23-year-old Mark tweeted: ‘In Mayfair benihana having a jap and a beer with my best pals and cuz then off 2 alto life is great got to admit it u only live once.’ [sic]

Since finding fame from the reality TV show, Lauren has spoken of her shock after watching the ITV2 show, saying she nearly walked out after the first episode portrayed her as the desperate ex-girlfriend.

Back to Essex: After a night out in London at Mahiki, Lauren jumped in a black cab to go home

‘I was ready to walk out because I was so upset about how they made me come across. But then I got loads of messages of support on Facebook and Twitter so I thought I’d stick with it,’ she said.

And last night she was obviously trying to prove her strength as a strong single woman, after her tempestuous relationship with Mark was drawn out on television.

She told Reveal magazine earlier this month: ‘When I saw the first episode, it was like torture. Listening to all the things Mark said just killed me.

‘I’d never heard him talk about me like that, and the way he spoke about other girls was heartbreaking. I’d be lying if I said it didn’t hurt.’

Viewers were left with a cliffhanger ending at the end of the first series and although it’s unsure whether Lauren and Mark will get back together, by the looks of their single nights out, their love might finally be lost.
