Contrary to TV5's previous announcement, the TV version remake of Robin Padilla and Vina Morales' 90's hit action film "Ang Utol Kong Hoodlum" will have its premiere run starting September of this year instead of June.
According to the tweets of TV5 Head of Creative and Entertainment Production Perci Intalan, the decision was based out of respect to Robin Padilla, the original star of the Viva Films movie, who has a teleserye airing right now and to further improve its story and quality.
Kapatid network's primetime drama king JC de Vera and newcomer Jasmine Curtis-Smith topbill this much-awaited TV project.
JC plays the role of Ben - the role played by Robin in the film version and Jasmine, the role of Bing, previously played by Vina Morales.
Aside from JC and Jasmine, other cast include Empoy and Rainier Castillo.
